Shenzhen Oculgen Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. ( hereinafter referred to as Oculgen ) was established in August 2022. Oculgen is a biomedical technology company focusing on macromolecular ophthalmic innovative therapies. It was founded by Dr. Chen ChiungKuang, a global expert in retinal diseases drug development , who holds a Ph.D.  in Protein Engineering/Biochemistry from the University of Arizona, and a postdoctoral fellow in the  Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at University of California, San Francisco ( UCSF ).

Oculgen’s headquarters is located in Yihua Financial Technology Building in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, China. Additionally, the company operates a clinical operations office in Shanghai, China, and has established an R&D center laboratory in Zhuhai, China.

Oculgen has a series of the latest and best breakthrough ophthalmic treatment technology product portfolios covering from early drug discovery, in-vitro/in-vivo preclinical animal models，lead candidates scale-up production，formulation development and eventual commercialization.
